Memories of shared time with the five women in the Kegelmeyer family are fading. In each distressed handwoven packet, one of the females in the photo becomes more opaque. As darkness descends, they all gradually fade from view.

Fading Memories

This is the most heart-felt of my pieces. This 1951 photo captured my grandmother, her daughters, and granddaughters, including me. The process turned out to be surprisingly emotional as I gradually faded my family into oblivion.
